„Holiday of Time“
Terms: 14. 8. – 28. 8. 2018 / 2019 / 2020
International competition in choreography (solo / couple / group), modern dance (solo / group), a vaudeville dance (solo / group), ballroom dancing (pair / group), a vaudeville singing (solo / group), instrumental music (small formations / solo / bands / orchestras), circus arts (solo / couple / group), theatre arts, visual arts and fashion shows – unique and exclusive event in Europe.
The competition is held under the auspices of South Bohemia Region, České Budejovice City Council, mayor of town Trebon and Conservatory of Czech Budejovice.
The organizer of the competition is Czech Endowment Fund International Youth Forum.
Each participant will receive a festival badge – a pendant and a commemorative festival gift. All groups will receive diplomas with the emblem of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, valuable gifts from Czech glass engraved with golden angel – the patron of the festival.
Video Broadcasts from festivals can be viewed from more than 100 countries around the world.
The competition takes place in a closed hall of the University in the Ceske Budejovice. Competitive concert takes place at the largest medieval square in the Ceske Budejovice – Premysl Otakar II. Square, which is part of the World Heritage List.
Natural acoustics and 16th century´s scenery creates a special and unique atmosphere. The square is filled with spectators not only the audience but also the spectators who watch the concert from nearby cafes, which are located around the perimeter under the old vaults.
Great interest raises a workshop, which takes place in the unique revolving theatre at the castle from the 13th century in the Cesky Krumlov. Experience the rehearsal in such an exclusive theatre, leaves all the most beautiful impressions rehearsal.

Each participant of the festival (ensemble or soloist) shall submit an application to the organizing committee and the following documents confirming the intention to participate in the festival:

In response to the application form, the Organizing Committee will send official invitation with the name of the group, the name of the manager and confirmation of reservations, for possible consulate needs. Participants of the festival will receive a competitive program, corresponding with the declared category.
After submitting an application, the advance payment in amount of 1.500 EUR is required. This amount is considered as an advance and is reflected in the final overall budget. The remaining amount – the supplement is necessary to transfer to a bank account of the organizer no later than three weeks prior to arrival.
In case of interest for transportation it is necessary to confirm the order 60 days before arrival.

Competition and gala concert take place on stages constructed on central squares of cities, which are also listed as Unesco World Heritage:

The final ceremony takes place on the waterfront of the Italian resort of Rimini, accompanied by professional lighting and fireworks. There are live broadcasts and reports from gala concerts.
The festival is held under the auspices of the Municipality of Czech Budejovice, Trebon and South Bohemia Region.
COMPETITION CATEGORIES
Festival is open to soloists and groups of young artists aged 7 to 20 years (and adults). Participants in the competition are divided into age categories:
I. age group 7 – 9 yrs. Juveniles I / children 1 8 – 9 yrs.
II. age group 10 – 12 yrs. Juveniles II / children 10 – 11 yrs.
III. age group 12 – 13 yrs. Junior I / Juniors 1 12 – 13 yrs.
IV. age group 14 – 15 yrs. Junior II / Juniors 2 14 – 15 yrs.
V. age group 16 – 17 yrs. Youth I / Youth 1 16 – 17 yrs.
VI. age group 18 – 20 yrs. Youth II / Youth 12 18 – 20 yrs.
VII. age group od 21 yrs. Adults I / Adults 1 od 21 yrs.

Works in nomination paintings, drawings and photographs should conform to the required format, should be in a fixed frame (if possible decorative) and be able to hang.
ORGANISATIONAL AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
It is desirable that the choice of repertoire and costumes match the name of the festival
- Sound recording must be at every performance available separately and passed on to the organizers on signed CDs.
- Use your own music. Media: Audio CD-R discs (each CD can be only one song and CD must be labelled with the ensemble name and city). The group should have duplicates.
- Singers are not allowed to perform with the accompaniment of phonograms “+”
All artwork and photos must have (on the back side) printed document with information in the following order:
- Surname, first name and age of the participant
- Title of the work
- Nominations
- Surname and the name of the head Ensemble (ring, studies, etc …) or teacher (if available)
- Organizations representing workers and creative participant stating the city and country (if available)
- Contact phone number and address
GENERAL PROVISIONS
- The Organizing Committee is responsible for preparation and organization of the festival
- The organizing committee approves members of the jury
- The organizing committee reserves the right to use and distribute audio recordings, video recordings and press materials about participants, without compensation for their use
- The Program of performances can be edited and changed 30 days prior to the start of the festival. Less than 30 days prior to the opening of the festival no changes, such as changing the name of the leader will be accepted.
- The competition takes place without the presence of the public, only in the presence of the jury and group leaders is accepted.
- Concert program – participants (ensembles and soloist) of the opening concert are elected by a professional jury, based on the results of the closed competition.
- The order of performances program is prepared with respect to the preparation of individual performances and cannot be changed.
- Individual rehearsals are held according to the program in places of accommodation. Time of the rehearsals before the closed competition is not determined. Common rehearsal of the final is held before the public concert.
- Participants on gala concert are Diplomates and Laureates presenting one or two competition performances. All participants of In case of delay for the rehearsal, a spare time will be provided on behalf of the technical conditions of the stage.
- In case of necessity of a longer time for the rehearsal, this must be consulted with the Organizing Committee.
- At the beginning of common rehearsal of the final, all individual rehearsals are ended.
- Program of the gala concert is determined by the festival director, and on the basis of the jury’s decision, which is final and unchangeable.
- Violation of the provisions of the festival can be a reason for exclusion from the competition.
- Organizing Committee reserves full copyright on audio, video, photographs, sound recordings and broadcasts, taken from festival concerts.
- The organizer reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions.
Groups and their leaders bear the responsibility for the physical security of equipment in halls, hotels and theatres. By submitting the application, the groups express agreement with the terms of the international festival.
Participants in the festival competition: in the competition can participate: ensembles, soloists, small formations aged 6 to 28 years, as well as students of higher and secondary special schools up to the age of 21 years.
Festival jury
Performances are evaluated on the basis of 20 point system
The competition program is evaluated by an independent jury composed of prominent personalities from the arts and culture, professional art teachers, sponsors, media representatives, producers and directors from Czech and European theatres.
The jury has the right to choose the best numbers to the final gala concert.
The chairman of the choreographic jury is Mgr. Miroslav Pešíková (national artist and a merited member of the National theatre in Prague).
Chairman of the music jury is Doc. Mgr. Jan Maria Dobrodinský, educator, composer, conductor, honorary conductor of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, holder of prestigious award from Czech Minister of Culture, winner of Bedrich Smetana award.
The chairman of the art jury is the gallerist, artist and member of the union of visual artists of the Czech Republic, Mr. Jiří Kremlin.
The decision of the jury is approved and registered in the report, it is final and cannot be changed.

- “Happy Birthday” greeting including a gift for the head of the group, having the birthday on the day of the concert.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to change the program of the day.

The price for transportation is determined individually in relation to the program each group. In case of early application, the transfers from and to the airport (Prague, Vienna), and in the days of tours, are free of charge, within programs: V-1; V-1 (economy); V-2; V-2 (economy).
Price depends on the total number of persons in the group.
